How often do we exhaust ourselves with questions about life. Questions we can’t seem to find a simple answer to?

Like what do I want?

Is this the correct thing to do?

What is my life’s purpose?

Life is full of uncertainty and if we aren’t present, we can lose ourselves in the moment. But what if there was a question we could ask ourselves that would spotlight the answer we are looking for? Some of you may have methods or a set of rituals that help you simplify life, others may be looking for methods or rituals that help anchor them in the present moment. I’ll share a small effective question we can all ask ourselves to find the answer at any given moment. But first, here’s the quote that inspired this blog post.

A wise man once said “In life we must choose our regrets.” – Unknown

JUST IMAGINE…

Imagine being 80 years old and you’re laying on your death bed having difficulty breathing. The vital organs slowing down. Actually-try to imagine what that looks like. What does the room look like? What does it smell like? Are many people visiting you or are you alone? Are you scared or are you at peace? Are you at a hospital or are you at home? Are you wealthy or are you poor? It can be tough to visualize that because we don’t know what the future holds for us.

You’re at the point of no return and imagine realizing you were asking yourself the wrong question all along.

LET THIS SINK IN…

Asking yourself question like “what is my purpose in life?” often lead to more questions. Life is all about choices and if we choose our regrets, then the question becomes.

What regret can we not live with?

This question is so powerful and profound it can set you on course to where you have to be. I’d like to emphasize the ultimate goal in life is to have no regrets. Accepting and forgiving is essential to a happy life. Life will throw different challenges your way that’ll help chisel your character. But that’s all it is, challenges and when they come up- you know what questions to ask.

What regret am I going to choose? What regret can I not live with?
