Introspection

Pre-Ayahuasca Ceremony

I had spent about 4 years researching the medicine and 1 year actively looking for a retreat center. My dream was to try ayahuasca with the indigenous people of Peru. I wanted to go straight to the source and do it the right way. I later discovered Costa Rica also offered the medicine and was an alternative option to Peru for me. But during the pandemic the covid vaccine became mandatory to travel. So this deflated my efforts to keep looking for retreats outside of the country

I began doing research for Ayahuasca ceremonies in the U.S or Mexico and couldn’t find something that was reasonably priced. Most retreats in Peru or Costa Rica can cost anywhere from $1,000 – $3,500 per person.

Retreats in Mexico or Colorado U.S.A were anywhere from $6,000 – $10,000 per person. So I slowly started losing hope.

But listening to a podcast on JRE with comedian Neal Brennan sparked that level of interest back up. After neal talked about his amazing ayahuasca experience. I decided to reach out to him on instagram and see if he could point me in the right direction for an ayahuasca retreat, and he did- which was amazing. SO THANK YOU NEAL!

The ceremony takes place tomorrow 07/22/22

Two month prior to the ceremony I can say I felt very nervous and scared. Fear of the unknown and fear of the physical agony ayahuasca can cause. So I started affirming my mantra (I am safe & secure – please be gentle.) which will be my mantra during my experience.

I essentially had questions I wanted to ask at some point during my experience. Today I realized it’s all about flow. I need to let the medicine take its course. No part of me can resist the experience. Not even the throwing up aka purging. It’s all a part of the collective and I must remain calm and intune with myself through the process.

Anytime you sign up for something like this the worst case scenario is death. Many people often feel like they’re dying during ceremonies as their blood pressure rises and drops and for some that’s just the experience they needed to get a better grip of their life and of reality and experience gratitude on a whole conscious level.

It sounds horrible but it’s actually blissful once you surrender control and let the medicine take its course. Ayahuasca is not for everybody, especially if you have heart problems or mental health issues or history in your family of schizophrenia.

I am excited to experience the most profound psychedelic journey I have ever witnessed, a rollercoaster ride through the spirit world. A place where you’re no longer human nor soul but just a part of the collective, the all.  A place where neither time nor space exist and where wisdom of the infinite source greets you at the door. Takes you under its wing and helps you transform.

I hope to share my story once I’m back home and have digested my experience thoroughly. I’ll walk you through the step by step process of my journey.
